Albert Dorman ’45 ’99 HON, founding benefactor of the Albert Dorman Honors College at NJIT, passed away earlier this month at the age of 97.

Born in rural New York, Dr. Dorman went on to graduate NJIT first in his class at the age of 19, with a B.S. in mechanical engineering.

Dr. Dorman had an extraordinary career. He first served his country as a member of the U.S.

Army Corp of Engineers.
